The Two Year B.Ed. curriculum prepared by the Board of Studies in Education (Pass) of University of Kerala as per the revised regulations of the NCTE is being getting ready for publication. The new batch of Two year course announcement is expected by 20th June 2015. The course will commence on July First, will pave a historical and structural change in Teacher Education of the whole country.Hatts off to the team of dedicated Teacher Educators and Experts who worked behind this mission.

Visioning Workshop for Two Year B.Ed. Curriculum Held
In
continuation of the previous attempts, an one day workshop on adding more flesh
and blood to the general framework for the two year B.Ed. curriculum was held
on 20th February at Govt. College of Education THYCADU, Thiruvananthapuram. The
core committee formed guidelines for the framing of different theoretical and
practical components to be Incorporated as the revised NCTE guidelines 2014.
Subject wise coordinators and panel of experts as observers and advisers were
identified. A school internship along with a mini project besides the intensive
multi-phased practice teaching with training possibility in a digital world
classroom are the expected highlights of the four semester two year B.Ed.
curriculum of University of Kerala from the next admission onwards. The four
day work shop to be held at M.T.T.C. Nalanchira from 11th to 14 February will
give a final touch to the proposed two year curriculum.

B.Ed. curriculum under revision for 2 year course to Comply with Revised N.C.T.E. norms 2014
The combined meeting of Member of Board of Studies, Faculty and Subject Conveners met on 12th February 2015 at Mar Theophilus Training College Nalanchira Trivandrum formulated a draft framework for two years four semester B.Ed. of University of Kerala which includes multiple phases of Practice Teaching and Internship with performance based credit system. The next meeting of the Core Committee Schemed on 20th February 2015 at G.C.T.E. will further elaborate the framework.
